Filling up paid surveys is without a doubt one of the easiest and least brain-taxing methods of making money. However, because it involves almost no thinking whatsoever, it can, in time, become mind numbingly boring and completely tedious.

Assuming you’re just filling in one survey a day, or every couple of days, you probably wouldn’t notice this at all. But if you decide to get into paid surveys on a more regular basis and really begin to profit well from them, you’ll gradually find that you’re going to feel the tedium kick in.

To be completely honest, this is one of the biggest downsides of using paid surveys as a regular tool of profit. Simply put there is no easy way out of this conundrum. If you happen to have more ‘interesting’ surveys, you could do those in between your other, more ‘tedious’ surveys instead, but this is really just a temporary fix.

In the long run, you’re going to find that you’ll end up having to complete a number of boring surveys in a row at some point or other, and when that happens the tedium is bound to kick in once again.

One of the best ways to prevent yourself from falling victim to this problem is to take regular short breaks. Never sit down for more than half an hour at a time while just filling out surveys. Take five or ten minute breaks in between and go do something else! Walk in the yard, shoot a few hoops of basketball, whatever tickles your fancy really.

So long as you’re able to take a break from your surveys regularly, you’ll find that you’re less likely to suffer from the boredom that creeps in.

Also, if you happen to be registered to one of those paid survey databases, you probably will also have access to a number of other ways to make money, such as by eating or shopping. Why not try one of those for a change of pace?

Or why not try something completely different?

Honestly, the choice is yours, but what is important is that you find some ways of ensuring that you’re not stuck doing surveys on a continuous basis, but rather that you find some way to break the monotony and take your mind off your surveys for a while.

Later, you can get back to them and pick up where you left off!

After all, paid surveys are incredibly flexible in nature, so why not take advantage of it for as long as you can. Fit in other things within and around your survey times and you’ll find that you’re less likely to go absolutely crazy from the tediousness of filling in survey after survey after survey.

In fact, another great idea is to use something like RoboForm to help complete some parts of your survey automatically.

Whatever you do, be sure to take care of it somehow, before it becomes too big a problem to handle!

Assuming you’ve never delved into the vast world of paid surveys before, it may surprise you that they aren’t all the same. In fact, some of the types of surveys that you’re going to encounter when you get started will genuinely shock you – that’s how different they can be!

Overall though, there are two main types of paid surveys, and knowing about them could help you to choose which you’d rather focus on. Here they are:

	1. Form Surveys

To put it quite simply, these are the types of surveys that you probably expected when you first heard about paid surveys. All that they involve is a form, with a list of questions to be completed.

Of course, even these can vary in terms of the length of the form (some can be up to 15 pages!), the types of questions that are asked, and the format of the questions themselves.

Generally speaking, depending on the length and ‘value’ of the information that is needed, payment will be calculated accordingly. Remember, there are no fixed rules as to how much a survey pays out, and so you might find that a 1 page survey ends up paying $20 while a 5 page survey only pays out $10.

One of the main advantages of form surveys is that they can be done whenever and wherever you desire. All you need is the form itself, and some way to fill in the answers. After that, you just need to send it off and you’re done.

	2. Focus Groups

If you’re blinking your eyes because you have never, ever come across any mention of this, don’t be alarmed. Truth be told, focus groups are really just a different type of survey.

Instead of having a form to be filled out, focus groups require their participants to actually gather in a prearranged place. Sometimes it is a hotel, an office, or even someone’s backyard.

Other times however, the focus group meeting is organized online. Mainly this is done when the participants hail from across the globe and a face-to-face meet is close to impossible.

Apart from that though, the purpose of these focus groups remain survey-like in nature. All participants are subjected to questions, quizzes and so forth so as to get their responses. On the part of the organizer, they’re free to ask further questions in response to a reply, which is a definite plus.

For the participants, such focus groups often are less ‘convenient’ compared to survey forms, but at the same time the pay is generally higher.

Now that you know the two main types of paid surveys, you should be able to see that you have more options on the table than you might have otherwise thought. Before you choose one in particular, you could even try to pursue both so that you can make a better judgment call.

Bottom line though, it really is a question of which you prefer: Forms or focus groups?

Earning More than the Regular Paid Surveys Through Product Research

Every so often, some company or other wants to launch a new product but they’re unsure as to whether or not it is ready for a launch. Also, they probably are equally unsure as to how the public will respond to it, and whether or not it is worthwhile going for a large scale deployment of the product, or starting off small.

Either way, all this uncertainly adds up to one thing: The need for information.

Basically, companies that are stuck in the above situation need some data. Not only do they need the standard market research though, they also need specific product research to find out whether or not the products themselves are ready.

These types of surveys, known as product research, could really help you to boost your income seeing as they often end up paying more than the regular surveys. However, it is worth noting that this extra payment comes attached with an increased amount of work. If you don’t mind that, then you could be earning more than you would have otherwise!

For the most part, these product research surveys involve a sample product being handed out to various people for them to experiment with it and provide feedback. So, you should be keeping your eyes peeled for any loopholes, mishaps, and unwanted occurrences.

Generally, the downside of these surveys is that your payment is not guaranteed.

Instead, it is up to the company in charge of the survey to evaluate and determine whether or not your survey is worth paying money for. Normally, if you’ve spotted some loopholes or strange behavior, you’re pretty much a shoe in to be selected.

End of the day, surveys of this variety have a lot of potential, but they must be carried out carefully as it would really be a pain to waste an entire day on a single survey only to find that the company in charge did not feel that it wanted to buy the survey over.

To be most effective, it would probably be best to couple these surveys with other more normal surveys as well so that the risk of being left empty handed is reduced slightly. By doing so, even if the product research company rejected your survey, you’d still have the profits from the ‘normal surveys’ to fall back on.

Bottom line, product research surveys represent something that could be interesting, so long as they’re used carefully and correctly!

One of the best features of paid surveys that never cease to amaze is the fact that they’re one of the most flexible ways to make money. Granted, a lot of money making methods online are fairly flexible, but even most of these pale in comparison to what the paid survey market has to offer.

As opposed to fixed working schedules, or even rigorous hours, paid surveys are the ideal method of making money as a hobby. Frankly, even as little as 5 to 10 minutes a day can be used to fill up a single survey, making it something that can be done at any free moment.

Have five minutes free after breakfast? Great – how about doing a survey. Another five minutes free after lunch? Well, that could be your second survey for the day. See how simple it is to fit in paid surveys into whichever couple of minutes you happen to have free?

Of course, if you’re carrying out paid surveys as a hobby, chances are you’re not going to earn an astronomical amount. In fact, you’ll probably have to settle for less than $1,000 a month unless you happen to have a lot of free time that needs filling!

Still, that isn’t a bad sum considering you’re not going all out to gather whatever profit you can. But in order to be sure to constantly have a supply of paid surveys to complete, you’ll still need to register to various paid survey websites beforehand.

Admittedly, you won’t need to go to nearly as many as you would if you were looking to make as much money as you could, but the more that you do register to, the more assured you can be that you won’t run out of surveys when you feel like doing one.

On the whole, carrying out paid surveys as a hobby is a nice way to gain a little bit of extra income for very little effort. Not only that but it ensures that you’re a whole lot less likely to get tired of filling up surveys very quickly (which is one of the main downsides of carrying out paid surveys as a business).

So you might be able to keep it up for months or even years on end, saving up enough to maybe even treat yourself to a nice vacation somewhere on a great looking tropical island!

Despite the fact that it’s ‘just a hobby’, you should still keep track of your surveys in case there ever comes a day when you feel like getting into it on a more serious basis. Who knows, you might discover that you prefer it to your current job!
Do You Expect To Make a Killing From Paid Online Surveys?

When many people first get into paid online surveys, they tend to figure that they’ve really found the goose that lays the golden egg. Unfortunately, after a few weeks of completing surveys, they find that they’re not making as much as they expected, and end up feeling disheartened as a result.

Right from the get go, it would be a good idea to get one thing clear: If you’re hoping to become a millionaire by completing surveys alone, you’re going to end up disappointed. However, if you simply want to get a decent side income that gives you a nice solid sum of extra cash at the end of every month – well, that’s more plausible.

Basically, it boils down to two major questions:

	1. How many surveys can you complete daily?
2. How much does each survey pay you?

Let’s deal with the second question first. Frankly speaking there is no ‘fixed rate’ for surveys, and you’ll find that some surveys pay you $1 while others pay $10, and yet others pay $100. Really, it all depends on how much the company that is sponsoring the survey is willing to pay for the information that they want to acquire.

As for the first question, the number of surveys that you are able to complete daily is a bit of a
tricky thing to estimate as well. Most people find that it depends on how many surveys they’re eligible for, and that can vary rather greatly from day to day.

If you’re looking for a rough estimate though, let’s just assume that you’re making about $30 a day from online surveys, either though one mid-range survey, or several small-range surveys. $30 a day means about $210 a week, which is about $900 a month.

As you can see, that isn’t too shabby at all. If you manage to make $40 per day on average, that is further increased to $1,200; $50 a day would be $1,500, and so on.

That should give you a rough idea of the true earning potential of paid surveys.

Of course, there are ways to increase these figures, and mainly that would involve signing up on practically every paid survey site that you can locate, so that you end up with a constant stream of surveys that you’re eligible for in your inbox. Attain that, and you’ll be able to pick and choose from the surveys available, and will thus be able to select the best of them in terms of profit.

All said and done, so long as you’re willing to put in a little extra work, you can definitely get a good and stable side income stream going without too much effort. If you want any more than that, it is doable, so long as you’re also willing to put in further effort to get more surveys on a regular basis.

Sadly, it isn’t going to make you an overnight millionaire, but you didn’t really expect that, right?

Discover How to Spot a Paid Survey Scam

Considering the fact that there are countless paid survey scams out there nowadays, it really would pay for you to be able to tell the difference between a legitimate offer and an unscrupulous scam!

Unfortunately that is easier said than done. Many scams can come so close to resembling the ‘real deal’ that it is honestly really tough to differentiate between them at times. However, if you end up falling prey to one of the many scams around, you’ll find yourself wasting a whole lot of time and effort, and possibly even cash, for absolutely no gains whatsoever.

In a nutshell: It is worth taking a few minutes to learn a bit more about how to spot a paid survey scram.

Think you’re interested in beginning? Well, let’s get started:

	1. Research, research, research

Frankly speaking, this is the main key to spotting a paid survey scam: Do your research.

Considering you have the internet at your fingertips, all that you need to do is head over to a search engine and type in the name of the service that you suspect may be a scam. Granted, the first few results could be ‘fixed’, but if you look a little bit deeper under the surface, you’re bound to unearth some useful information.

Of course, it also helps if you check out various forums and such that actually have lists of reputable survey websites. By using these as a point of reference, you can probably dodge most scams completely.

	2. Be wary of ‘free’ survey lists that have ‘administration fees’

Honestly this is one of the oldest scams in the book, and involves a scammer offering access to a ‘free’ database of surveys in exchange for an administration fee. Nine times out of ten that list doesn’t really exist, and when it does, it ends up being grossly outdated or simply leads to other scams too.

The minute you see a ‘free’ site ask you to pay an ‘administration fee’ you should have alarm bells going off in your head.

	3. Check with others

If all else fails, asking others who you know are equally interested in paid surveys could be mutually beneficial. By sharing information about scams or potential scams, you’ll be spreading the word and gaining valuable information in return as you do so.

Time and money are two things that are precious and to lose either one to a scam is a crying shame. Now that you know how to spot a scam, and how to check for one, you should be able to avoid most scams fairly easily. And even if you’re not entirely sure as to whether or not a certain paid survey site is a scam, being wary in itself will help protect you.

All in all, this should leave you scam free, and able to pursue those legitimate paid surveys that you wanted to in the first place!

Common and Readily Available Alternatives to Paid Surveys

Yes, you can now get paid to take surveys. Although that may sound slightly far fetched to some, the truth is that it is based on a very old and very useful service known simply as market research.

In tandem with that, there are a number of under alternatives that have also cropped up and housed themselves under this umbrella. Nowadays, it isn’t uncommon to find them all at the same types of sites.

What are we talking about? Well take a look at some of the common and readily available alternatives to paid surveys:

	1. Get paid to eat

Granted, it sounds even more unbelievable than getting paid to take surveys, but it’s true nonetheless, and is part and parcel of certain types of market research as well. Various restaurants and food services are actually willing to pay people to eat at a number of places in order to gather feedback.

	2. Get paid to shop

Along the same lines as getting paid to eat, getting paid to shop works in the exact same way, only this time what is generally evaluated is the shopping experience, shopping trends, and so on. Truthfully, there are a number of different areas that this can cover, and each opportunity tends to differ from the next.

	3. Get paid to drive

Admittedly, this is a slight departure from what we’ve been talking about so far because it doesn’t involve market research, but involves something else that you should be even more familiar with: Advertising.

Frankly speaking you’re not going to be paid to drive per se, but rather you’re going to be paid for the rights to cover your car full of advertisements when you drive it. Assuming you’re willing to allow your car to be turned into a rolling advert, it is a half decent opportunity.

	4. Get paid to give free samples

Somewhat akin to the way certain shops hand out free samples at shopping malls, you could be paid to hand them out to your friends, family, and any random person that you may come across. Again, it is a form of advertising, as you should readily see.

If you’re batting your eyes in disbelief, don’t worry. It is really quite astonishing how many alternatives to paid surveys have cropped up, and judging from the response that each has obtained, it is extremely likely that more is still to come.

So long as it is a two way street with both parties coming out as winners (i.e. the companies that pay, and the people who profit), there are definitely going to be yet more avenues that continue to be explored.

Who knows, in the near future you might even be paid to surf (actually, a number of websites already claim to offer that now!).

What you choose to do is up to you, but considering that you’re going to end up being paid for the sort of things that really don’t require you to go out of your way at all, these really do amount to some pretty sweet deals.
Of late, paid surveys have been catching on and more and more people take advantage of it to get their very own side income going. All said and done, this isn’t exactly a bad thing, but it does have several negative affects for others who are doing something similar.

For one thing, there now appears to be a lot more competition for the top paid surveys, and although the amount of surveys themselves also has increased, it does not appear to even come close to the sheer masses who are looking to profit from their endeavors.

Due to this situation that has arisen, a lot of people are looking at different ways to increase their paid survey income, so let’s suggest a few of the best options around:

	1. Register for practically every paid survey website that you find

In theory it works like this: The more paid survey websites you become a member of, the more survey’s you’ll be sent. Of course, you don’t have to complete all of them. If you have too many surveys at any given time you can afford to be picky, choose the best, and turn down all the other extras.

Needless to say, registering for tons and tons of paid survey websites can be tedious, but it is a bridge worth crossing considering it will greatly improve your paid survey income.

	2. Accurately and comprehensively complete your profiles

Based on your profile, companies and paid survey websites will determine which surveys apply to you, or in other words, which ones you’re eligible for. Many beginners make the mistake of skimming through their profile creation and ending up with a profile that is either completely junk or not the full truth.

If you fully complete your profile, and make absolutely certain that it is 100% accurate though, you’ll find that you may turn out to be more eligible for various other surveys.

	3. Diversify

Apart from the traditional surveys, many paid survey sites are now going a step further and offering other ways to earn some cash, including by dining at certain restaurants, advertising on your car, reading certain emails, and so on. If you can diversify your sources of income and not just rely on the traditional surveys, you will probably find that there are various other avenues from which you can turn a great profit too.

Having gone over three great ways to boost your earnings from paid surveys, you should be all set to go out there and implement what you’ve learnt. Of course, some of it may take time, but the rewards are certainly worth it at the end of the day.

Remember: Register for multiple websites, diversify your sources of income, and be certain to complete your profile as fully and accurately as you can.

A Complete Introduction to Paid Surveys

Over the last couple of years, paid surveys really seem to have taken the internet by storm as various services pop up here and there offering incentives in return for the completion of what is commonly known as a ‘survey form’.

Essentially, this means that you could be profiting by doing something as simple as answering a few questions and then submitting them.

Upon hearing paid surveys described in this fashion, many skeptics automatically begin to think that it is some kind of scam. After all, why would anyone want to pay others for something as simple as spending a couple of minutes to answer a few questions?

Put that way it certainly does sound slightly dodgy, but the fact of the matter is, if you’re in the marketing line you would understand the motivation behind paid surveys slightly more. In fact, you could even describe it in two words: Market research.

When you boil things down, all this fuss over paid surveys does mount up to simple, good old market research. Almost every company that offers a product or service needs some sort of market research. Anyone at all who is interested in selling anything needs to know as much as humanly possible about the market which they’re interested in tapping into.

And so companies happily pay for such information. It could be something as simple as information about what type of lipstick teenage girls like to wear, or what types of toys parents are most willing to buy for their children.

Within market research there are so many avenues that are worth looking into, and big companies need information to base pretty much every major decision that they make upon. After all, would you want your company to invest millions into the production of a certain product only to find that the market it was targeted to isn’t really interested in it?

See, it doesn’t sound so unreasonable now that people are willing to pay for such research, does it?

All things said and done, paid surveys certainly look like they’re here to stay, and judging from the amount of new sites that constantly seem to show up on an almost daily basis, they seem to be going from strength to strength.

Of course, it is worth noting that not every paid survey is ‘paid’ in the form of direct cash. Some paid surveys offer prizes, discounts on products, and various other incentives in place of an actual cash prize.

Still, for anyone willing to spend some time filling out a few surveys daily, there is the potential for quite a bit of profit to be made, and no small amount of goodies to be earned on top of that, just to sweeten the pot.

Who knows what will come next from the paid survey department, but in an increasingly competitive market, research such as that provided by paid surveys is all the more valuable, and companies are certain to continue to desire it.
Tips and Tricks to Evaluate How Worthwhile a Paid Survey Is

While paid surveys are certainly gaining in popularity, there is one problem that is constantly faced by people who want to profit from them.

Simply put, there is no ‘standard’ rate of payment when it comes to paid surveys. Where one survey might offer $5 for what amounts to 10 minutes worth of work, another may be offering $5 for an hour’s worth of work! Needless to say, if you had to choose between the two of those you’d probably opt for the former!

But how do you know how worthwhile a paid survey is?

Let’s look at some simple rules that could help you determine whether or not a paid survey is worth your time or not:

	1. How valuable is your time?

If you can assign a value to your time, you’re going to find that the entire evaluation process is a whole lot easier. For example, if you figure that an hour of your time is worth $30 that means that 10 minutes is worth $5.

So based on that you can easily evaluate whether or not a paid survey is worth completing or not. Of course, this only works when the incentive offered is in the form of cash, otherwise you’re going to have to estimate the cash-equivalent worth of whatever incentive is being offered.

	2. Cash-equivalent worth of incentives

Just a second ago, we mentioned this concept, and it is one that you’re going to be using throughout your evaluation – anytime that anything non-cash-like pops up, really.

Estimating how valuable an item is can be difficult, just as estimating how much a discount voucher is worth can be tough too. Just come up with a rough estimate if you can’t figure out a specific figure.

	3. Some cash is better than no cash

If you can’t evaluate how valuable your time is, or you simply just want to make as much money as possible, you should follow the principle above. As long as you’re making some cash, it’s better than no cash.

Just be sure to opt for whatever allows you to make the most amount of cash possible!

Basically, from the tips and tricks above you should be able to quite easily see how you can evaluate just how worthwhile any given paid survey is. Naturally, you’ll come across quite a few paid surveys that are simply not worth your time.

But eventually you’ll definitely find more and more of those that do fit your expectations, ideally.
